INTRODUCING OUR JUDGES (4th Panel) – Empowering Afghan Girls and Young Women Speech Competition 2026

Dear All,

The Empowering Afghan Girls and Young Women Speech Competition 2026, organized in partnership with Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT), provides Afghan girls and young women with a platform to share their perspectives and speak about social issues they care about.

It is our pleasure to introduce the fourth panel of judges for our speech competition. Our judges come from all around the globe consisting of prominent Afghan changemakers, essay judges, debate coaches, teachers, and experienced debaters.

Divine Chukwunyere:

Ms. Chukwunyere is a Nigerian writer, young leader, and advocate for quality education, gender equality, and sustainable development. She is currently pursuing an MBA program, where she maintains a perfect CGPA of 5.0/5.0. With her passion for writing, she has received different awards for excellence in writing, like the Silver Awards in the 2023 and 2024 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.

In 2026, she served as a judge for The Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition, organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society, assessing over 70 entries from participants across more than four global regions. She was also selected as a delegate for the World Bank Group Youth Summit 2026 and as a volunteer for the One Young World Summit 2026 in South Africa, reflecting her commitment to youth leadership and global development.

In December 2024, she founded My Local Impact Lab (MLIL), through which she has mentored over 100 young Nigerians, particularly young women, in accessing scholarships and global opportunities. Inspired by witnessing barriers to girls’ education in her hometown in Imo State, she is passionate about amplifying the voices of girls and young women, promoting equal access to education, and empowering the next generation to become agents of meaningful social change.

We would like to express our gratitude to all our judges for their continued support in this competition.

Warm regards,
